WELCOME TO DIVERSTY IS MAGIC! Friendship is magic but it is also diverse as well!
This club was created due to the sudden discovery of pictures featuring Gijinka (humanized) versions of the FIM cast that have been called 'weird' or 'wrong' for portraying said characters in a diverse range of races and nationalities. To say that characters that have no official set race CAN'T be anything but white not only limits character interpretations when drawing them in Gijinka style but also goes against the theme of the show itself.
Friendship is Magic shows that friendship has no limits nor does it stop at personality. If you love these characters for being diverse in PERSONALITY (and in some cases, their orientation as well) , then what is stopping you from doing the same when it comes to their skin tone?
About the Club This club is to operate on the basic concept that the ponies to can look anyway they want and have no set standard in their skin, race or anything else when it comes to how humans look. This means they can be any race, have any body type and not be limited to what others think is 'correct'.
CLUB RULES What to Do!
Gijinka or Kemonomimi (animal ears and tails) versions of the MLP cast. You don't have to stop at the FIM version as all characters from the MLP franchise is allowed, even original characters.

Focus on the cast being diverse in both race and body type. This means that ALL races and body-types are allowed!
This also means that rainbow colored skin is allowed as well!
Sketches, doodles, line art, and full color works are allowed. Just make sure to put them in the appropriate folder.

Yes, gender-bending IS allowed as well!

Coupling (no matter the orientation) is allowed so long as its not VIOLENT and/or shows sign of abuse. Keep the love respectful please.
What NOT to do!
Try to keep your art from being too suggestive. This means no p0rn or massive breast art. Don't abuse the fact that they have boobs people.

No bashing, trolling, or fighting within the club. We're trying to have fun here. This means respect each other.

The art MUST be yours so that means no ripping from other artist and galleries. This means no traces, art theft, or bases. If you have been working in collaboration with someone, please make sure to include this detail.

Anthro IS allowed.
How to join. Just send a note over and you will automatically be entered into the club!

And remember, when I say that all races are allowed, I do mean ALL!
NOTEFor the time being, I am using the dA search engine to find pictures. If you have deviations that you consider should be in the club, please feel free to submit them to the club. If I overlooked them the first time don't think this was because I didn't think they should be accepted into the club. Using the dA search engine only gives me a limited view of what is in your gallery so if you have something, please submit it to the club and I will check it.
EDITOn the subject of NUDITY, please keep it within the tasteful range. This basically means that your characters can be nude but please NO Ecchi, pOrn, or fetish-themed work.
UPDATE!We have two new folders as well as a new addition to the submission list!
ANTHROS ARE NOW ALLOWED!
Yes, anthro versions of the ponies are now allowed! There is no need to look for a separate folder for this submissions. Just add your work to the designated character folder!
ETIQUETTE and RESPECT GUIDELINESIt has come to my attetion that some things need to be said how members of this group, myself included, treat each other.
I created this club as a response for artist who were being harassed by others simply because of the way they chose to draw these characters as human. With that, I want to try to maintain an enviroment where artist can feel they can share their art without having racist, sexist, and other offensive things thrown at them. This means if you want respect, you have to treat the others with respect as well. If you feel that what you want to comment on is going to be offensive, either reword it to consider who you are replying to or DO NOT SAY IT AT ALL. Remember, it might not seem offensive to YOU but it MIGHT to OTHERS.
If the following actions are done in the club, there will be actions taken;
*A warning will be given to posters who comment offensive things on the front page. If this continues, you will be BLOCKED.
*If I or any other members find that you are stealing art and reposting it with hateful messages, you will be BLOCKED.
*If I recieve notes from members informing me that you have harassed other artist on a continues basis that goes against the club rules and themes, you will be BLOCKED.
*If you message members or myself with racist comments about art and the club, you will be BLOCKED.
Bronies often say 'love and tolerate' but within that, there are two things to consider;
*If you are going to love and tolerate, consider that people are going to depict these characters, who have NO set race or human form AT ALL, in MANY different ways. If you don't agree, that is your freedom to do so. You DO NOT however, insist that the artist is wrong and force them to change for YOUR liking.
*Love and tolerance also does not give you the freedom to say offensive things and ignore the fact that people will get upset about it and for GOOD reasons. Telling a person a racist statement and getting surprised they got upset all the while playing innocent about it is NOT love and tolerance. Love and tolerance does not mean walking over people with hurtful remarks and expecting to get off scott-free. If you're going to insist on pushing that statement towards so many remember that it doesn't end with trying to get people to stop making fun of you for even liking this show.
